How can I make my Snap Public?

Steps to make your Snap public

Updated over a week ago

You can make your Snap public either while creating the Snap or by changing the setting afterward in your My Snaps section. The Solver can always see your Snap, ensuring they can address the issue.

Making a Snap public during the reporting flow

  1. Launch the app as you normally would and tap the blue Snap button to start creating a new Snap.

  2. Once you reach the Confirm Details screen, scroll to the bottom to find the Public Access toggle.

  3. By default, the Public Access toggle is set to ON, meaning your Snap will be visible to other Snappers in the app. If you’d prefer your Snap to remain hidden from other Snappers, toggle Public Access OFF.

  4. Tap 'Send Snap' to submit your Snap with your chosen public access settings.

Making your Snap public is a great way to contribute to your community by sharing important local issues with other Snappers.

Making a Snap public after sending

You can also change whether a Snap is public or private after it’s been created.

  1. Tap My Snaps in the bottom navigation bar of the app.

  2. Select the Snap you want to update, then scroll down to find the 'Public Access' toggle.

  3. To manage the visibility, tap the Public Access toggle:

    • If set to OFF, your Snap will be hidden from other Snappers.

    • If set to ON, your Snap will be visible to other Snappers in the app.

Note: Other Snappers will not be able to see any personal details associated with your Snap.
