How are duplicate reports handled?

When do I see duplicate suggestions?

After selecting an incident type, if the Solver has de-duplication active, the app will check for potential matches. If a potential match exists, you will see a list of up to 3.

What happens when I select a match?

You will exit the reporting flow and we will record a deflection against the matched report.

If the matched report has been made public by the original Snapper, you’ll have the option to add it to your Saved list to see when it gets Solved.

An additional report is not created.

What if none of the potential matches look right?

If none of the potential matches are the same as the report you are trying to make simply tap “None of these match” to continue reporting as usual.
