What is Squads?
Squads is an app feature that allows Snappers to join or create groups focused on a shared mission. Within a Squad, members can collaborate by Snapping and tracking their collective impact on the issues they care about. It’s a way to bring like-minded people together to achieve common goals through coordinated efforts.
Who can join a Squad?
Access to a Squad is managed through a unique Squad code that all Squad members can see and share. Here’s how Squad access works:
Sharing the Squad Code: Every Squad member can see and share the unique Squad code with others.
Control Over Sharing: The Squad creator sets the guidelines on how strictly the code should be shared. It’s up to them to inform invitees if they want to limit who can join. However, there are no built-in controls in the product to restrict code distribution.
Leaving the Squad: Once someone joins a Squad, they can’t be removed or denied access by others. The only way for a member to leave a Squad is to sign out on their own.
This system ensures that Squad access is straightforward, but it also relies on responsible sharing by Squad members.
How do I join a Squad?
To join a Squad, you’ll need the Squad code from the Squad creator or current member. Once you have the Squad code, follow these steps:
You’re now part of the Squad and can start Snapping with your group.
Alternatively, if you received an invite link, make sure the app is downloaded and you’re signed in. Then, tap the invite link to automatically launch the app and sign you into the Squad.
How do I leave a Squad?
To leave a Squad, follow these steps:
You can sign back in at any time – you’ll just need to re-enter the Squad code or accept an invite from another Squad Snapper.
